  • Payment Information: Credit card details (processed securely by Stripe, not stored on our servers)
  • Usage Data: API calls, label creation timestamps, tracking queries
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information, cookies

We do not collect or store sensitive information such as social security numbers, driver's license numbers, or full credit card details.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide Services: Create shipping labels, validate addresses, process payments
  • Send Notifications: Email confirmations, tracking updates, delivery notifications
  • Customer Support: Respond to inquiries, resolve issues, provide assistance

  • EasyPost: Shipping address validation, rate comparison, label generation, tracking
  • Stripe: Payment processing, credit card tokenization, billing
  • Resend: Transactional email delivery (confirmations, notifications)
  • Supabase: Secure database storage for account and shipment data

These third parties are contractually required to protect your data and may only use it to provide services to CostDock.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • Encryption: All data transmitted via HTTPS/TLS, sensitive data encrypted at rest

7. Children's Privacy

CostDock is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately. Parents who believe their child has provided information should contact us at privacy@costdock.com.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. After account deletion, we may retain certain data for up to 7 years to comply with legal obligations (tax records, audit trails). Shipment tracking data may be retained for carrier-mandated periods.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
